20 Years of Hope
When Palestinians were forced to flee the land that became Israel in 1948 during what is called the “Nakba” (catastrophe), many took the keys to their homes with them in the hope that they might one day return. Over time, the key has become a symbol of what has been lost through exile and occupation.
