Mira El Abed, a 23-year-old native of Canada with roots in Palestine, is a remarkable individual with a deep passion for tourism and education. As a child, Mira’s dream was to follow in her father’s footsteps and become a tour guide in Palestine, her beloved homeland. Having pursued her studies in the Tourism and Guiding Program at Dar al-Kalima University and graduated on July 8, 2021, Mira's upbringing in a family deeply involved in the tourism industry has greatly influenced her career path and aspirations.
Mira's love for travel and photography, coupled with her enthusiasm for teaching and learning, has driven her to contribute to volunteer work at refugee camps, where she has had the opportunity to engage with children. Through these experiences, she has honed her skills and developed a profound understanding of the impact of tourism on local communities.
Her professional journey has seen her collaborate with various tour companies, each specializing in different facets of tourism. From her involvement in eco-tourism with the Palestinian Wildlife Society to her role in a travel agency, King David Tours & Travel, Mira has gained diverse insights and expertise within the industry.
Currently, Mira is an administrative assistant at Green Olive Tours, a company renowned for its focus on political and cultural tourism. In her role, she continues to demonstrate her commitment to creating innovative programs and itineraries, particularly in the realm of eco-tourism, in collaboration with the Palestinian Wildlife Society.
